24-4W is Abu Coffee's 2020 Best of Panama lot. It was in the top 15 coffees in the first round of nationals and got disqualified from the Best of Panama auction. The rationale for disqualification in the exact words provided: "too much fruity in the cup".

Process: Washed Double Phase Anaerobic Slow Dry (54 hours anaerobic dry process, then fully hand-washed with clean mountain water, and dried on raised beds for 15 days)

Fragrance and Aroma: Jasmine, violets, honey, lemongrass, and vanilla.

Taste and Aftertaste: Lavender, cherry, berries, green apple, orange, brown sugar, elegant, and medium after taste

Abu Coffee was named to honor the memory of José Guillermo Luttrell Tedman, a third generation coffee producer from the Cañas Verdes region of Boquete, Chiriquí in Panama.

"ABU" (short for Abuelo, grandfather in Spanish) is what his grandchildren used to call him. His dream was to achieve the best cup of coffee with the highest standards of quality. Abu Coffee continues to live this dream by producing some of the most incredible and unique coffees available not only in Panama, but globally.
